I bought into the Empower program so that I could get the VS 2005 upgrade when it becomes available. If they keep me from getting it then I'm going to be upset. I hope this promotional offering is just as inexpensive for independent developers. MSDN subscriptions really do pay off if your focus is on windows applications.
